Demonstrations and Protests: Best Practices

Titan Security closely monitors protest and demonstration activity in the Chicago area, including the May 12 “Chicago Rally: Hands Off Jerusalem #SaveSheikhJarrah” event. Notice of the anticipated protest march was posted in this space several days in advance, and Titan was in constant contact with our partners at the Chicago Police Department (CPD) and the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) for further developments.

Before, during, and after the protest, Titan’s Director of Emergency Management and Security Operations Center (SOC) provided continuous, realtime updates to senior leadership, and monitored the event for any escalation or violence. Had the demonstration been unannounced, or devolved into civil unrest or property damage, Titan’s notification protocols would greatly expand this communication.
